Unlike adults children grasp information and interactions differently than adults. In children counselling child friendly techniques and interventions are used to achieve the desired outcomes of the session. Counselling will focuses on working towards building positive foundations which encourage positive coping methods. As clients they will receive mental and emotional support from the counsellor where they can focus on resolving conflict, understanding their own thoughts and feelings. Adolescence is a major transitioning stage in a person's life as it is the period between child and adulthood. Adolescents may find it confusing or difficult to navigate this period of time because it is when they are finding their true identity of self. Trauma is an emotional response to a terrible event like an accident, rape, or natural disaster. Immediately after the event, shock and denial are typical. Longer term reactions include unpredictable emotions, flashbacks, strained relationships, and even physical symptoms like headaches or nausea. While these feelings are normal, some people have difficulty moving on with their lives.
In trauma debriefing our practitioner will provide a safe space where you can openly share your traumatic experiences. You will be provided with psychological and emotional support immediately following a traumatic event to prevent potential PTSD and other negative consequences.

Grief is a natural response to losing someone important to you. There's no right or wrong way to grieve and it feels different for everyone. There's also no timescale for grief. So how long it takes for you to feel like you're beginning to both grieve and live again, will be different for everyone too.
Our trained counsellor will provide you with psychological and emotional support to deal with any loss that you have experienced. With the practitioner you will develop coping strategies and techniques unique to you that will help in facing and healing the grieving price
